So I decided to start eating healthy! *doing the electric slide* I decided to start eating healthy because I want to generally take good care of myself and prevent health conditions in the future. I hate exercising! At some point a year and a half ago, I was a workout junkie! I was so obsessed with working out but when I relocated, everything went down hill, Junk food was way more easily accessible, and generally, life got in the way. I also tried the Keto diet but that didn’t last very long because it was a whole new lifestyle I wasn’t used to and couldn’t sustain. Therefore, I decided that generally eating healthy was way easier for me. To make it easier for me to stick to my diet without starving myself, I went with meal prepping!
I stick to about 1,300 calories each day and I count my calories using MY FITNESS PAL, which is an app that helps you calculate your calorie intake daily by imputing your meals into the app. I also meal prep so I don’t fall off the wagon and trust me , it is the best way to stick to your diet. I reduced my carbs by more than half!
My typical day involves an overnight oats and chia seed breakfast, One cup of Cooked *cooked because one cup of cooked and one cup of uncooked carbs are very different* carbohydrate with vegetables and protein for lunch and dinner is usually also about 1/2 to 1 cup of carbs and vegetables with protein. I generally eat less for dinner so its sometimes soup or stir fry vegetables with lean meat. I learnt from my research about ideas for food prep that you don’t have stop eating what you used to eat but cut down on carbs and portions. So I didn’t eliminate carbs, I just reduced my portions and eliminated processed sugars. I also added loads of vegetables to most of my meals to bulk them up. I food prep for the whole week on Sundays because that’s the only day I have to go grocery shopping etc. and store the food in my freezer with labels on them.
Below is like a glimpse of what I eat and what my food prep looks like. NOTE: I am not a specialist at healthy eating, I am just lil ol me fighting the good fight like a lot of people are.

I am still fighting the good fight of a healthy lifestyle. Life is so unfair. lol! Some people can eat a horse and look the same for years.
